Lyford Cay Foundations pays tribute to late Board Member Tim Unwin
Lyford Cay Foundations mourns the loss of Mr. Tim Unwin, former chairman of The Canadian Lyford Cay Foundation, who died peacefully at his home in Canada on Friday, 9th February, 2024. Mr. Unwin loved the work of Lyford Cay Foundations and was committed to improving the lives of the people of The Bahamas. He was a champion for education through our scholarships, FOCUS and LEAP programmes. He served tirelessly as Board Member of The Canadian Lyford Cay Foundation (CLCF) from 2007, then led the work of CLCF as Chairman from 2017. He stepped down as Chairman in November, 2023 but remained an active member until his death. His impact on our staff, board members, supporters and those we serve is enduring.
We extend our condolences to his wife, Anne and his children Michael and Stephanie, grandchildren, family and friends. This is a sad time for Lyford Cay Foundations. We are comforted in knowing that Mr. Unwin’s life changed the lives of so many for the better. We are determined to continue to honour his legacy.
May his soul rest in peace.
