Our programmes are designed to yield palpable, long-term results. Each programme is aimed at providing learning opportunities for Bahamian children, young adults, families, and communities who will benefit the most. Read full story Community Grants
As one of the few grant-making organisations in the country, we invest in initiatives that support community building through transformative learning opportunities for those in need. We provide financial support to Bahamian non-profits who offer traditional and diverse learning experiences in the arts, sports, environmental awareness, health-related issues and economic and human resource development.
Community Grants are awarded through an application process. Non-profits have three opportunities to apply for support each year. Community Grants vary in value based on the project. Normal awards vary between $5,000 and $10,000; exceptionally a larger grant of up to $25,000 may be awarded.
Organisations must provide details on their project or programme, the purpose of the grant and documentation related to their structure, governance and finances. Successful organisations must report on the execution and impact of the funded project.
Lyford Cay Foundations is proud to support non profit organisations doing work in the community to provide education opportunities to underserved groups and constituencies.
Lyford Cay Foundations welcomes applications from community non-profit organisations who share its vision of a Bahamas ‘where every Bahamian is empowered to reach his or her potential.
